Tips for choosing the right Japanese sake

The world of Japanese sake is fascinating, but sometimes it can be difficult to find the perfect sake for you. That's why we would like to give you some tips to help you choose the right sake.

On our product pages, you will find a sake meter chart that shows the dryness level of the sake. This unit of measurement, also called Nihonshudo, indicates how sweet or dry the sake is. The higher the value, the drier the sake. So if you prefer a dry sake, choose one with a higher value and vice versa, if you want a sweeter sake, choose one with a lower value.

In addition to the sake meter chart, we have labels such as "complex" or "easy drinking" on our product pages. "Complex" means that the sake has many aromas and flavours and is therefore suitable for experienced sake drinkers. "Easy drinking" means that the sake is easy to drink and is therefore recommended for sake beginners or for daily consumption.

Choosing the right drinking temperature can also affect the taste of the sake. Some types of sake taste best cold, while others should be served at room temperature or even warm. On each product page you will find recommendations for the best drinking temperature for each sake.

In our sake shop, we offer a wide range of sake varieties for every taste and occasion. We hope these tips will help you find the perfect Japanese sake for you and enjoy it to the full.
